BRUSHES TUTORIAL:

There a lot of sites to get them from. Obsidian Dawn is one of the sites we like to get ours from. However you can do a google search to find other sites.

For this example we will use a recent download.

This download is avaliable at www.brusheezy.com

you then browse until you find the one you would like to DOWNLOAD & click the download button!

This opens a dialog box where you choose to save the file. You want to save it so you have it later in case you need to reinstall it.

After you click save a browse window opens where you can tell it where to save the file. You can direct it to a folder in My Documents or create a new folder to save the files in. I recommend creating a folder specific for brushes. This can be done in My Documents or right on the desktop. I made my own folder on my desktop - this makes it easier to get to right away for installation! You may want to move the folder after the install.

When it is done with the download which shouldn't take very long unless you have an extremely slow dial up connection. You want to go ahead and open your folder!

Next we are going to EXTRACT the file into the photoshop presets folder. Simply right click and select Extract All!
This will extract the file into a new folder! Leave this window open as we will use it in the next step.

Then all that is left is to install the file. This can be done different ways but we will use our favorite and probably the easiest way. Using the click and drag or drag and drop method.

You need to open up "my computer"
open - local disk C drive
open - program files
open - adobe
open - photoshop (whichever version you have)
open - presets thenopen - the brushes folder.

Now you can simply drag the DOWNLOADED FILE over from the extracted folder window into our NEW window! and **BAM** you have a downloaded, extracted, and installed BRUSH!!
